Weight Watchers

Overweight pets live shorter, less active, less healthy lives. Carrying extra weight puts extra burden on their limbs, joints and heart and can make a lot of existing problems much worse.

It it is Estimated that 1 in 2 Cats and Dogs are Overweight

Most pets gain weight simply because they eat more calories than they need. This means they either eat too much food, don’t do enough exercise, or a combination of both. The excess calories then get stored as body fat.

How do I know if my pet is overweight?

If you can’t feel your pets ribs, if their waist is not obvious, if they are reluctant to exercise or get short of breath easily, your pet may be overweight.

Your pets weight is assessed using a body conditioning system, click on the link below to learn more.
