In the natural canine world, there is a wonderful example of synchronous behaviour which has surprising implications for the owners of bitches. Indeed owners who have more than one bitch living with them often notice that their dogs tend to come into season at around the same times, and in the wild most of the bitches in a pack also come into season together.
