Petwatch – Are vaccinations safe?

In the wake of the now discredited suggestion that the combined vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella was capable of inducing autism in children, some have questioned whether they are doing their pets any potential harm by vaccinating them. In particular the simultaneous use of multiple vaccines, and the practice of annually repeated vaccination have come under scrutiny.

Copthorne Veterinary Clinic Dog Show Sunday 19th September 2010

After the success of last years dog show Copthorne Veterinary Clinic are hoping for a repeat performance on Sunday 19th September at Longden Village Hall. There are plenty of classes to choose from with all proceeds to Lingen Davies Cancer Appeal and Shropshire Greyhound Rescue. There will be lots going on during the course of the day including a barbecue, tombola, facepainting and archery, so please come along for what promises to be another great day. Petwatch – hazards of lawn care

One of life’s pleasures for me at this time of year is mowing the lawn. I love the smell of freshly mown grass, and find the activity immensely satisfying. I could do with the grass growing a little less quickly, but at least it gives me an excuse to get out there with my petrol-powered machine and escape other family chores. Like barbeques, I guess mowing the lawn is a “man-thing”.
